My bullet journal setup has refined itself over the years. I have a much better idea of what I need in my bullet journal. The spreads that I utilize to their full potential, but help me keep my life organized.
I no longer need a gratitude spread, books to read, movie log and one line or word a day. These types of spreads are all things I would normally want to expound on in more detail. I could never fit my scheduled plans and unexpected happenings all in one place with those details as well.
These types of spreads and the sentiment that they evoke are now housed in my journal. My journal will be where I document my gratitude each day. Books and movies will be documented as and when I need to add them into my journal.
My preference is to have these types of sentiments in a separate journal. That way it will all be housed together. A piece that I can look over quickly or at my leisure.
I have kept in my bullet journal a year overview because a calendar is always helpful. My future log is of the first quarter and a calendex of the second quarter of the year. This helps me to organize all my future events and important dates.
My vision board is in my journal so that I have a visual representation of my goals at hand. The log for continuing education helps me to keep on top of my requirements. This way my continuing education information is always at hand and easy to update.
These are a few of the spreads that I have kept. As well as, some spreads I decided to leave out of my bullet journal. I hope that my pattern for streamlining my journal will help others to use the spreads that will work the most for them in their planner. Also, never be afraid to strip out collections and house them elsewhere if you need it.
Even though not many days of the year have gone by, the biggest favour I have done for myself is to keep my bullet journal as more of a planner. I find myself paying attention to the tasks that will help me achieve my goals rather than being distracted.
