The New Year is fast approaching. This is the time when most of us check our systems, projects and goals. It is a common to check on our life progress as well at this point. I have tweaked my system a bit in terms of the way in which I perform certain tasks, but my core system is essentially the same. My core system consists of my A5 Filofax and a bullet journal.
My A5 Filofax will contain Inkwell Press Inserts. These inserts are the flex version and give both the monthly and weekly view . I plan to have 6 months in my Filofax at a time. This planner will also have an extra monthly layout that will be my editorial calendar. At the start of each month, there will also be a financial register.
My bullet journal will be housed in a Rhodia goalbook. This will have collections, a month view and daily pages. A collection is basically a list of ideas or things that correlate to each other in some way. Some collections that may be familiar are Books to Read, Wish List and Master Grocery List, just to name a few. My monthly view is in my bullet journal as well as in my A5 to keep my month overview at the forefront of my mind.
These planners work together to keep me organized. I have only added a few bits like the secondary month view in my A5 to bring focus to certain areas of my life.
I will also have a planner for home use. It is a planner where we can keep track not only of each other’s schedules, but things we need each other to do.
I also use a field notes book for my 9 to 5 work. It is used for work tasks only.
Overall, I will have four components to my system. The systems work together to cover every aspect of my life at this time.
